She may look like she’s up there enjoying the scenery, but her main purpose for standing on the edge of this dropoff in the Badlands was to make sure she could see which of the many gullies I fell into if I got too careless while exploring the finger of land forming the convoluted canyon rim below.

  1. Few photographers have such helpful companions when they are shooting. I often advise my beginning students to photograph alone instead of having to listen to complaints about how long they are taking or how many shots they’ve already made of a subject! 🙂 Yea for your Fashion Queen’s contributions!

    1. The Fashion Queen has never pestered me about anything but safety when I’m out shooting and she’s with me. Her patience is something I only strive to achieve when we’re out together and she is shopping.
