In addition to the competing detour signs, this photo also has an interesting color “competition”. The background building in the shade appears blue (cool) from the reflected sky, while the foreground orange signs and yellow sandbags in the sun are the opposite warm colors. They really pop out from the background. Nice!

Yeah, we don’t need to construct roundabouts in town; they just keep putting up detour signs until we’re all going in circles trying to get somewhere anyway.
Same same here in Louisville. Major interstates closed down for more than year. Major city roads being constantly worked on with the type of signage shown in this picture, one major bridge closed on Interstate 64 – AGAIN, Second Street bridge to Jeffersonville, Indiana with 2 lanes closed. No peace, no place. A state of confusion.
Bozeman’s definitely on a smaller scale, but a distracting mess much of the time nonetheless.
