I like that you’re tackling the magpies! 🙂 Even though this image has more detail that the last one, it still feels very graphic in terms of black & white shapes because of the way the bird’s head is positioned against its black shoulders. Love the touch of irridescent blue in the feathers!
Thanks Kathy. It’s the naturally graphic nature of the black and white shapes of these birds that I find most interesting. As for the touch of color in the feathers, I’m still grappling with whether or not I want to do a color or b&w series of images of these birds. (Of course there’s actually no need to decide, I could do both.)
