I’m feeling a little minimalist today–O.K. maybe a lot minimalist. There’s something quite serene about staring out over rolling swells of snow with clouds passing over the sun casting various shadows that change minute by minute.

I too like to watch the changing patterns of light on the snowy landscape under partly cloudy skies! This could almost be a white “Rothko”! 🙂
Kathy, I was thinking of the image as part of the color field series I started a while back, but since it’s monochrome, that didn’t seem appropriate. But white Rothko would be an intriguing series name (although some of the ones to come stray a ways from the “Rothko-esque” quality this particular image has).
