  1. Love the sinuous (sp?) curve of the ridge & shadow leading to the top of the hill. The balanced rock make a nice counterpoint to the curve.

  2. It looks like you’ve got a gigantic sleeping iguana or dinosaur by the tail ! My eyes followed the “S” shape of the formation from the shadow of the “tail” at bottom left, up his “spine” up to his right-looking “head” at the top right.
    The composition is so dynamic that I didn’t notice the balanced rock until I read your description.

    1. Jim, that area of Montana is well known for it’s dinosaur fossils, so what you’re seeing here fits right in. If that’s a dinosaur then of course the balanced rock is one of its eggs. 🙂
