I probably should have done this one in color as it might be hard to tell that the guy on the left’s guitar is painted in an American flag motif, but otherwise I thought it worked better in black and white. Not surprisingly perhaps, the songs these guys were playing were oldies, but they weren’t as old as they are.]]>

    1. Randy, There was a time when I might have done just that, and some of my early POTDs had selective color in them I believe. (One of a guy sweeping the sidewalk outside of Red’s Bar in Missoula comes to mind.) But if you follow current trends in photography much at all you start seeing so much of that that it starts coming across as overdone or faddish. Once in a while I seen something with selective color that is a real gem but most of the time that is not so.
