WIthout your explanation, on these Under Foot photos, I would have thought I was either looking at a canyon wall or an aerial view of the desert floor. But then I’m the guy that when he looks at photos of footprints on the moon, they look like they are sticking out of the ground, so I’m not much for getting the light perspective right in my head.
