A night shot of a long flight of steps near our rental house in Portsoy.

Gillan’s steps were named after my Grandfather Adam Lind Gillan who in the late 19th century was the Manager of all salmon fishing licenses along the north shore of Scotland. They lived in the Mount Pleasant house atop the hill further up the steps. I’ll be visiting for the first time in May 2020. I live in Toronto, Canada
Thanks for your comment Douglas, so nice to hear some personal background on places we visit. We really enjoyed our stay in Portsoy on our last Scotland trip. It is a nice quiet base from which to enjoy exploring the area. I’m sure you will enjoy your time there as well.
