Golden Spiral Bozeman, Montana 2013
Conventional wisdom has it that some snail shells, like the nautilus shell, follow the shape of a golden spiral. The boring truth however seems to be that while these shells follow logarithmic spirals, roughly meaning they grow wider with every revolution and the rate of that growth is a constant, they typically do not exhibit the rate constant required to be a true golden spiral.]]>
Nevertheless, this is a great photo! It’s interesting to me that in these darker images, the ones I like are fewer than the ones that in the high key series. This is no reflection on your photography, just something I noticed about my observations! 🙂
Apparently some are destined for darkness, some for the light!
