This is my favorite so far, and the one you titled “Latent Potential #15”. The tiny highlights in the otherwise dark images are crucial to their success. In the ones that have little white flowers, I find the whites too bright. They capture my eye and prevent me from exploring other parts of the image.

Thanks Kathy. All I can say about the one with the little white flowers is that it was the pattern of the bright flowers that I was interested in portraying, hence the purposefully darkening of the surroundings. If they captured your eye to the point of preventing you from exploring other parts of the image, then it did what it was intended to do. (Whether or not that was the best thing to do with this photo is of course a different discussion all together.)
