We just returned from visiting relatives in Kentucky and Alabama. In this shot from the air on the way there, snow cover on the ground (but not in the trees) revealed an intricate pattern of roads overlaid on the natural drainage of some Midwestern state or the other between Minneapolis and Louisville.
