O.K., O.K., it’s not really the Swiss Embassy but it ought to be. It’s actually a building at or near the Arab Institute in Paris. I thought the holey screen in front of the windows served as a sunshade but that side of the building was oriented more or less toward the north, so it may have been purely decorative.]]>

Mr. Hyde’s Trees Paris, France 2013

These rather sinister looking trees in the Jardin Des Plantes were about to undergo a Jekyl/Hyde (or in this case a Hyde/Jekyl) transformation. They were starting to bud out when we were there, so by now they are covered with friendly looking bright green foliage, making them look fresh and inviting rather than ominous and foreboding.]]>
