POTD: Replenishment

Replenishment
Honey Bee Canyon, Arizona
2023

A passing rain contributes to the groundwater that supplies this windmill. In this case it was a very small contribution (for which I was thankful as I was out on my bicycle at the time), but every little bit helps.

  1. I really like this image. When I first saw it and read the title, I immediately thought of the Colorado River and western states’ use of it for agriculture and drinking water. We are now facing the reality that we have been overusing this resource (from the beginning) and basing our way of life on unsustainable practices. Climate changes make replenishing this source more difficult; so we must reduce our use.

    1. Thanks Kathy. And yes, reduce our use–or, perhaps convince a sufficient number of folks to move somewhere there’s still a lot of water available, where ever that might be.:-)
