Where did you find all these different faces? Were they in an old cemetery or various locations around Sarasota? They all have a similar style and appear to be carved from the same type of stone.
They were lining the sidewalk in a kind of hidden garden next to the Ringling Museum. I wondered if they were a tribute to the various dwarfs who used to perform in the circus. Certainly the heights and proportions of the statues suggest dwarfs.
