I like this composition. My eye was drawn down to the mesa with the parallax (?) converging lines first, then settled on the dark blocks created by the shadow of the shaded boardwalk on the right.
Thanks Steve. Given the photo’s lack of particular subject matter, it’s the arrangement of the lines and objects in the image that draw the eye’s interest.
For some reason I hear a western movie theme, though I’m not sure it’s from the movie High Noon. 🙂 Great title to point me in the direction of those western sagas…:-)

Yes, it does bring to mind the empty streets of an old west town just before the action really begins.
