Ganado Storm at Hot Springs National Park

The composite photo Ganado Storm that I produced while at an artist residency at the Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site is now part of a National Park Service Centennial Exhibit at Hot Springs National Park in Arkansas. Tom Hill of the Hot Springs National Park sent me this photo of the exhibit. (Ganado Storm is on the left.)

HUTR artwork smallI used parts of many photos taken at the Hubbell Trading Post to create Ganado Storm in the style of a Navajo storm blanket. You can see the image up close and read about how I created it here.

If you happen to be in the area (Barbara and Elmer!) you can see the exhibit at the Ozark Bath House (the former home of the Museum of Contemporary Art).

  1. Congratulations, Larry! And thanks for sharing the page where we can see the whole image and the pieces you made it from. This is an outstanding example of your “mandala” creations. I really enjoy this image!
