POTD: Kaleidocrow
The result of trying to keep busy working through the discomfort (aka pain) of heart surgery. Some might suspect I’m actually working through the drugs they gave me for the pain, but this particular effort anyway was pretty much only as drug-inspired as acetaminophen and ibuprofen can get you. The relevance of the resulting shape wasn’t planned but is certainly appropriate.]]>
Hey Larry– Get better quick. Sorry to hear the docs felt a need to cut you open. Sounds distinctly unpleasant. I certainly hope they’re done with you for a bit and you can get on with your life.

Thanks Jeff. Distinctly unpleasant, yes, but this is one of those situations where the no pain, no gain axiom really applies.
That is pretty cool – so psychedelic! Will be interesting to see what other distractions you come up with. 🙂
Thanks Judy. Maybe I can claim distraction art as a new genre. Oh, maybe that’s already been done under the name doodling. Maybe that makes this digital doodling.
Some cool and interesting things come from doodling…so keep it up! I had to look really carefully to find the crow in the kaleidoscope!
You might take a look at Huntington Witherill’s work Photo Synthesis. It is the result of his playing around with Photoshop too!

Kathy, I’m well aware of Hunter’s impressive “doodling” and don’t even pretend to be in the same class as that! Still I like the kaleidoscope stuff and it’s fun to work with.
