POTD: Home Fires

Home Fires Budapest, Hungary 2011

The ghostly figure in this image happens to be the Fashion Queen in the kitchen of our apartment in Budapest. I took the photo on returning from a night’s photographic stroll of Budapest. I suppose this is kind of a misleading title given we’re in the middle of a rather bad wildland fire season here in the West.]]>

The World As I See It

The World As I See It Bozeman, Montana 2012

Actually this is the world as I see it very infrequently due to traveling to art shows and getting ready for them in between trips. I took this the other day when I took a few minutes to enjoy the new deck and some fine summer weather at our mountain house.]]>

POTD: Photo

Photo Denver, Colorado 2012

I was looking at this piano when I felt a subliminal suggestion to take a photo, so I did. This is one of several artist decorated pianos on the 16th Street Mall. POTD: Patriot's Dream #33

Patriot’s Dream #33 Denver, Colorado 2012

It was Memorial Day weekend so I guess wearing these shorts was this guy’s way of commemorating fallen Americans.]]>

POTD: Measures of Anonymity #20

Measures of Anonymity #20 Denver, Colorado 2012

I thought I’d throw this odd-ball (in the sense that it’s in color) image into the mix. Not so much anonymity here, either architecturally or otherwise. I don’t know who these people are, so in that sense they are anonymous but I do know or could guess some of their story; they are getting engaged or married or otherwise want to document their relationship. How do I know this? Out of the photo to the left in the middle of the street (it was Sunday morning so there was essentially no traffic) is a photographer instructing them where to stand, how to pose etc. for the photos she was taking.]]>
