A woodland sculpture piece by Patrick Dougherty. It was constructed from 14 tons of willow and alder and is 35′ in diameter and 20′ tall. Statistics aside, it makes your imagination run wild.

It is amazing what random memories a particular photograph can evoke. I was barely 10 years old when the first Telstar satellite was launched in 1962. What does that have to do with an old teepee burner in Lincoln, MT? Not much except in the head of an fan of NASA and space exploration from the very beginning.
