Travel to camp in style in the Canyon Express. Note the air conditioner in the back window–sort of a swamp cooler type deal whose fan was propelled by the wind while driving. Hopefully it was somewhat of an improvement over 8/60 air conditioning: eight windows down, 60 mph. (For you fact checkers out there, I’m counting only windows that were supposed to have glass in them and were meant to operate up and down at the time.)

POTD: Wishing for Padiddle

Sticking two 120 volt floodlights into a vehicle’s headlight sockets isn’t likely to get you home in the dark. That would leave you wishing for at least one headlight that is functional (i.e. padiddle). Although he never mentions the concept by name, Jakob Dylan (Bob’s son) wrote a song using padiddle metaphorically.

POTD: It’s the Same, Only Different

It’s the Same, Only Different

When I saw this shed and it’s contents in Nelson, I immediately thought of one of my earliest photos taken on my grandparents’ farm back in the late 60s:

In retrospect, the two photos aren’t all that similar. Similar lighting (sort of) and similar jumble of items, but I know for sure my grandparent’s had no cannons. So it’s one of the same only different kind of comparisons.
