Besides the rustic wooden look to this grain elevator, it stands out literally in it’s surroundings as its a few miles from town on a dirt road with little other evidence of civilization around.

The center portion of an Absaroke (Crow) Indian shield, ca. 1860. It’s made of tanned deer hide, rawhide, pigments, glass pony beads, red wool and flicker feather. A true mixed media artwork, and a very classy design.

I was there and climbed those stairs, but I still have a hard time figuring out what arrangement of lighting and walls formed the abstract shadow shapes on the wall. It’s a different form of corner shadows compared to yesterday’s POTD.
