Besides those in our group, I didn’t see very many U.S. or European tourists running around in Shanghai. (It was the off-season for one thing). But while sitting at this intersection for a while, the number of Chinese people I saw who were gawking around like I was suggests that there were a lot folks visiting from out of town.
