POTD: Finally, Spring

Finally, Spring
Bozeman, Montana
2020

The snow is almost all gone at our mountain house and we’re finally able to drive up there. The lupine are starting to grow, which is a sure sign that spring is here, as is the fact that the moisture coming down is in the form of rain rather than snow. I’m really excited about staying up there for the summer if for no other reason other than it’s so much easier to maintain an appropriate social distance from your neighbors when you live on 40 acres.

  1. This is a great shot! I love how lupine leaves collect the rain drops. I have a similar shot on color film I made years ago…still a favorite! Enjoy your summer retreat!

    1. Thanks Kathy. I think any nature photographer worth his/her salt has a photo similar to this–at least if they live somewhere lupine grows. My own collection spans almost 40 years I think. I’ll take one and then resist for some years and then take another.
