What do the other statues represent? Is the front on “read no evil”? Or have we westerners applied our own erroneous interpretations to these figures! 🙂
Other than the three “no evil” depictions, I could not find a common thread among these statues. However, as almost everything in China seems to to have implied meaning (or so it seems), I would guess that this grouping was not due solely to chance or whimsy.
