No, I was aware that there was graffiti but it was not a major factor in the decision to visit. In one of our guide books it said not to miss the graffiti. Once we got there it was obvious that was a superfluous piece of advice because you’d have to be blind to miss it–it’s everywhere! Perhaps a better piece of advice would be to be sure and spend some time seeking out the gems among the vast amounts of more mundane graffiti.
