I’m enjoying the photos. I guess I never put two and two together until today. That they have used that area a lot for movies. TMC is showing an oldie called The Stranger Wore a Gun. The scenery looks very similar to your photos and sure enough it was filmed in that location.
Being an interesting place and only a half day from Hollywood, it’s been a magnet for film makers. There’s a road through the hills called Movie Flats Road and a local museum dedicated to the film industries presence in the area.
