Alabama Rocks #8
Alabama Hills, California
Very otherworldly. Was the texture of the egg-shaped rock as different from the surrounding textures as it looks? Do you know how this rock and the round one in the last photo were formed?
I don’t remember noticing the texture of the egg-shaped rock being that much different at the time, but it could have been (or else it’s an artifact of my processing of the image digitally). As for the origin of the round rocks, I am not versed on the underlying geological/meteorological processes resulting in their creation but I lean towards the giants-playing-marbles theory. (In other words, I don’t have a clue.)
