  1. Have you run into any prohibitions about taking images of pictures in Art Museums? Is it a no-no to use a flash?

    1. Always no flash (or tripods). The most common policy is its ok to take photos unless it’s work not owned by the museum (e.g. a traveling exhibit) then it sometimes still ok depending on the wishes of the owner. I’ve only been in a few museums that prohibited photos altogether. I don’t enjoy those as much although it is a relief to not have to see hoards of people taking selfies in front of every famous work of art without ever really looking at the art before moving on.
