POTD: Winter Coat

POTD: Winter CoatWinter Coat Bozeman, Montana 2014

This cottonwood tree on one of my daily walking routes never fails to draw my attention. I’m not sure why it does so, and I’m not sure that it’s new winter coat or this image of it provides any real clues to the attraction either. It’s a nice tree, but why does it stand out more than any of the other similar trees I pass by?]]>

  1. Because it leans and branches out so close to its base? There are cottonwoods in SE Michigan, but they all seem to be pretty straight, and the branches are higher from the ground. BWDIK about trees?
