POTD: Mother Nature's Crude Sense of Humor
This is what we woke up to yesterday morning; it was only September 11th for crying out loud. We’re used to early and late snow in Montana but other than the undeniable beauty of it, it’s never particularly appreciated out of season. Although I haven’t checked yet, the temperature last night was supposed to hit a record low around 20 degrees as well. At least it appears Mother Nature’s nasty sense of humor is going to be short-lived this time around as the predicted high for next Wednesday is 80.]]>
Your picture is Currier and Ives- wait -it’s still technically summer! We just dodged that bullet down here, although I did put sheets over the flowers. I am mostly concerned about all my deciduous trees being fully leafed out and getting freezing wet sloppy snow heaped on them… Looking forward to (winter) putting 8 tons of hay in the barn on Friday Net result: Spent 10 minutes looking at condo rentals on Biscayne Bay this morning…..
Steve, your comments makes me wonder, did Currier and Ives do summer scenes? I assume they did but they’re just not as famous as the winter ones. We usually make it until January before dreaming of warmer climates. Of course last year we did end up in Nicaragua in December…
