Nothing special about it but I include it to point out that the particular photo they are looking at, Grenada Street Mashup, was by far the most likely to stop folks at the art show in Salt Lake City. It’s always hard to tell what image is going to attract the most attention at an art show, but what’s really interesting is how location dependent preference is; this photo didn’t attract nearly the same amount of attention at the shows since Salt Lake.]]>

The first step in selling your art to customers at an art show is to get them into your booth looking at your work. Well, technically the first step is actually getting people to the art show so they will walk by your booth. But that’s not under the artist’s control.) The Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City had bucket loads of people walking around and a few of the photographs I had on display in my booth were pretty effective in drawing folks in to have a look around. It was a very busy (and successful) show but there was still plenty of time to photograph some of the viewers.]]>
