It’s not likely it is what it was intended to be but that’s what I thought of when I saw it. If the age of these pictographs is suspect (to me anyway) as I mentioned yesterday, then it’s possible that it post-dates rather than pre-dates Duchamp’s painting that this pictograph made me think of.

Some really unusual pictographs, both in terms of characters depicted and variety of colors used. Unusual enough for me to question their antiquity although I’m certainly not knowledgeable enough to actually claim they’re of recent origin.
