Just for the Fun of It Jackson, Wyoming 2014

At the art show in Jackson they let some of the artists with campers stay in the parking lot of the fair grounds in town, so I slept there in my van. They have a rodeo twice a week so with the horse trailers parked in the same parking lot much of the time it was kind of aromatic at times. But one of the benefits was that I got to watch an informal group of folks team roping steers one evening. I asked one of the young ladies there if they were practicing for the rodeo the next night. She said some might be but they were mostly there just for the fun of it. This woman certainly was having fun–I’m not sure whether the steer was or not.]]>

Made You Look #7 Salt Lake City, Utah 2014

Last one of this series. Nothing special about it but I include it to point out that the particular photo they are looking at, Grenada Street Mashup, was by far the most likely to stop folks at the art show in Salt Lake City. It’s always hard to tell what image is going to attract the most attention at an art show, but what’s really interesting is how location dependent preference is; this photo didn’t attract nearly the same amount of attention at the shows since Salt Lake.]]>
