Like open sun-light doors, aged wire fencing is another subject I don’t seem to tire of photographing. In this case the fencing closed off an opening to an otherwise windowless shed, whose interior provided the dark background.
This is a wonderful abstract! I can imagine it as 1 half of a diptych in which the other half is the image inverted to black on white! 😉
Thanks Kathy. We have a triptych of black, silhouetted wire fences against a white (cloudy) sky hanging on the wall. This might be a good complement to that. I’ve never been a big fan of the negative vs positive diptych images that I’ve seen over the years. At least when I’ve tried it for myself it never seemed work well.
I like this, a lot. This photograph may get Daryl out of my head.
My can’t walk away from are broken windows.
Thanks Allan. Yes, broken windows are as much a siren call to my camera as are wire fences I think, but Daryl always has a place in my heart!
