Unusual undulating shapes of the arms of an organ pipe cactus.
I wonder if the “pinches” are the result of long periods of no rain at all, the way tree rings are narrower & wider relative to growth.
Possible but unlikely given other organ pipe cacti in the same area had no such undulations.
