There’s not much to recommend this image aesthetically but I thought the scene odd so photographed it. I’ve seen ice form on creeks and also green slime but I’ve never seen the green slime so nicely encased in ice. Kind of a strange note to end the 2021 year of POTDs on, but as those with nothing enlightening to say like to say, “it is what it is.”

Thanks Mike. We haven’t totally left the snow yet, just drove through some south of Show Low, AZ yesterday a.m. But we’re lower down now so it was also our first day above 50 degrees yesterday too. Happy New Year.🎉🎊🎉
