Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
I had to enlarge the image to recognize it as a pine tree. Its shape really reminds me of a Joshua tree, a cactus that wouldn’t grow in Yellowstone! 🙂
This is another example that sometimes size does matter. The tree is easy to see on a computer screen rather than a phone, although I must admit it could be mistaken for a cactus, although in my mind anyway more of a cholla than a Joshua tree. (By the way Joshua trees are yuccas rather than cacti.)
I was actually looking at the photo on my laptop screen. Guess my eyes are not as sharp as they used to be! 😉 And I see how you would think of a cholla…a good fit even if the wrong plant! 😉
I was thinking you might say that you were looking at it on a larger screen. I guess it was more obvious to me because I knew what it was to begin with!
