Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona
The way the grain of the wood bends always reminds me of waves frozen in time. I’ve photographed such “sculptures” myself several times.
This photo, as well as the one coming tomorrow actually remind me a lot of the lava fields I’ve walked on in several different locations.
Yes, I can see that! All are about “arrested” flow, though thinking of flow as it relates to trees is quite the oxymoron! 🙂
As windy as it is here today, flowing trees does not seem so oxymoronic!
