I love the character of old architecture. You’ve captured it will in this photo, though climbing those stairs every day would be a challenge for anyone older or carrying much weight!
Thanks Kathy. We had an apartment on the 3rd or 4th floor. We always walked down the stairs but sometimes took the tiny elevator up–depending on how far we’d walked on a particular outing. All that walking an stair-climbing allowed me to participate in the national sport of Hungary (i.e. desert) without gaining too much weight. Lots of good cakes etc. readily available at shamefully low prices!
