I mentioned in an earlier post that the Alabama Hills have been well photographed over the years. As such there is nothing special about this landscape view of part of the terrain there. But because I am going to be posting a few other up close shots of the rocks in the are, I posted this overview because I imagine some of my readers have not seen the area in person or in photos.
Larry, where are they? How did you find them?
The Alabama Rocks area is a very popular BLM recreation area in California, only a few hours drive from L.A. I’ve seen photos of them for years but my first exposure to them was from 50+ years ago while watching the Lone Ranger TV series which was filmed in the area.
