This tree in Central Park, was quite a ways behind its neighbors in leafing out for summer. I like the contrast of the delicate new leaves carried on the jagged structure of the tree branches.
I, too, like the contrast of the delicate leaves with the jagged branches. Very beautiful. And the evergreen and people at the bottom add a different kind of interest.
Thanks Kathy and Carol. I have to admit I did not notice the people who had walked into the scene when I took the photograph, they didn’t seem to hurt the image any, and perhaps added to it.
Love these type of shots, especially in black & white which accentuates the contrast between the delicate leaves and strong limbs and trunk.

I didn’t see the people until I looked for them after reading Carol’s comment!
