Lectio #47 Hubbell Trading Post, Arizona 2013

A shelf from one of the many bookcases in the Hubbell House. Assuming they read at least a good portion of these books, the Hubbells were well read, well mannered, and up on various aspects of women’s health. Oddly enough, we have a copy of  Tokology (the women’s health book) on our shelf. The fashion queen purchased it at a garage sale for  decoration rather than illumination. Turns out it’s author, Alice Bunker Stockham was quite an interesting figure from back in the late 19th century.]]>
