Because of the comments on yesterday’s photo, I thought I’d post a wider view of the same area. The scale of the rocks is more evident here, especially by comparison to the small hunk of sod visible in the upper left hand corner.]]>
In this shot there’s a strong sense of the small stones “pouring” or “flowing” around the boulders as if the stones were water. I like that feeling of implied/suggested movement combined with a subject we think of as stationary (rock), except in the case of a landslide!
Kathy, the sense of the stones flowing like water (and pooling in the flat areas) is just the look I was going for!
