Divining Rod
Bozeman, Montana
2011
Five below zero, with snow coming down outside this morning. This is another one of those days where I struggle with embracing winter via the POTD selection or seeking escapism by posting something less winteresque. Embracing the season won out again, but just barely.
It was like spring here yesterday – it even RAINED last night. A very strange February. I like the feel and the smell of the spring-like rain, but there’s something wrong when it happens in Colorado in February.
I like the sensuousness of the snow in this photo.
We had nearly 60 degrees a couple of days ago here–seems like a long time ago now.
I like the way the shape of the divining rod mimics the “sensouosness” of the snow as Carol so aptly termed it. I was searching for the right word and found it in Carol’s post.
