Making Tracks
Yellowstone National Park
2011
I’m feeling better about winter today so can post another snow photo. Good thing my attitude has come around as they’re predicting up to 20 inches for elevations above 5,000 feet tomorrow–and our house sits at 6,200 feet.
I like this very much, even if it is snow. At least I felt some imagined warmth from the Palette Spring series, which I also liked very much. Have you identified the species that made these tracks? Something that leaves a one foot before the other narrow tread, unlike two-legged humans who might, like me, widen their stance for stability.
Thanks Betty. I have not identified the species involved. I suppose those narrow tracks could have been left by a small critter for which that was a wide stance.
20 inches of snow! Whew! Nantucket was the only town in the the state of Massachusetts last week to have rain instead of snow. The ocean temperatures keep us a little warmer.
We don’t have 20 inches yet, only 8 or so. But with the way it’s coming down right now we could be at 20 before the storm is over.
