A shot from Cafe les Deux Moulins in Montmartre which has gained a fair share of notoriety since the movie Amélie was filmed there in 2001. If she cut her hair short, the waitress at the counter could pass for the actress Audrey Tautou who played the starring role in the movie.]]>

Tertre Artist Paris, France 2013

There are a lot of artists working every day at the extremely popular Place du Tertre in Montmartre mainly producing prodigious amounts of tourist schlock. They look very serious about their craft though; perhaps that’s just to impress the tourists. It would be interesting to follow them home to their studios there to see what they produce when they’re working just to please themselves.  ]]>

A rare nearly empty sidewalk along the Seine. Those are not Christmas ornaments in the tree shadows. It was what I know as a sycamore but in most of the world is called a plane tree. In Paris it’s apparently known as the maple-leaf plane tree.]]>
