Another shot of the sunrise on Sunday with a different framing and also taken at a point in time where the fog was extra thick. (Or else the shot was not properly focused!) Either way I like the more gauzy look.

Unfortunately, we’ve had no shortage of very red or yellow or orange “disk” sunrises and sunsets in this area due to all the forest fire smoke from local fires and those as far away as the west coast. Happily, this sunrise in Yellowstone National Park on Sunday was due not to smoke but to heavy fog after a nice night of rainfall.
