Waiting for the Harvest

A row of grain cars sitting on a siding, presumably staged for the area wheat harvest a few months from now. That seems ordinary except that the grain elevator they’re sitting next to appears defunct, so either the elevator is not defunct or there is another way of getting wheat from a truck into the grain cars. Or a third possibility, afforded by my AI friend, is that the elevator is in fact defunct and the cars are just being stored on the siding at Willow Creek waiting to be hauled elsewhere to be filled. He seemed pretty sure about that so I’m going with his theory.
