  1. Ooooooh, I like it!
What is it about bare trees that makes them so very interesting? They are fantastic subjects for photographers but have you ever seen them as a painting? I’m sure there must be some but not nearly as many as photographs.
Each bare tree has a story and they become far more interesting than any living vegetation in the area.

    1. With few exceptions, I agree with your statement that the bare trees “become far more interesting than any living vegetation in the area.” That particular tree was easy to access, in fact I believe I took it from the parking lot of a a paved viewpoint at Bighorn Canyon. But where we camped was at the base of a pretty high bluff, with rocky steep sides. I’ve climbed up there before and always enjoyed waling along the rim as there were quite a few dead juniper trees up there that were very photo worthy. I wanted to climb up there again on this trip but I didn’t think I was quite up to the climb yet–a thought that was very much seconded by my protector the Fashion Queen. Maybe next time.

        1. Well, there is that. But I must be somewhat lacking in it as I still think I could have made it up there if I took enough time going easy.
