POTD: Rockadile

Rockadile
Bozeman, Montana
2024

A cool comglomerate rock we found somewhere sitting on top of an end-table covered in what I usually think of as fake alligator hike, but for the sake of the image title I decided to consider it faux crockadile hide instead. In either case I like the similar textural shapes of the two surfaces.

  1. You always come up with such clever titles – and so appropriate. The lighting seems to accent the textures, too.

    1. Thanks Judy, sometimes I see something and think of a title before I even take a photo. I don’t do that on purpose, it just comes to me. I think it helps to have an affinity for puns and other word oddities. And yes, it was the lighting that made this particular photo worthwhile.

      1. I live with someone who also has an affinity for puns and a play on words. 😉 I often share your titles/images with him and he appreciates them. I would also like to say that now I have that Elton John song (Crocodile Rock) stuck in my head. 😏
